REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
FOR VALLI ROAD BRIDGE PROJECT PIN #8763.96
Town of Esopus, NY
The Town of Esopus is seeking to retain an engineering firm to complete preliminary and detailed design, right of way incidental and acquisition phases and construction inspection for a bridge project. The Town of Esopus will be using the current New York State County Highway Superintendents Association (NYSCHSA) Local Design Service Agreement (LDSA) procedures and list for Region 8 to select a consultant for this effort.
The selected firm may be utilized to perform the preliminary design, detailed design, right of way, construction support and inspection services after a detailed scope and negotiated fee is submitted and approved by the Town of Esopus and NYSDOT.
The Town of Esopus will select the most highly qualified firm according to the following criteria listed in decreasing order of importance:
● Understanding of the work to be done………………………………..30%
● Experience with similar kinds of projects…………………………….25%
● Quality of staff for work to be done…………………………………..20%
● Familiarity with Federal/State funding requirements…………………15%
● Logistics and familiarity with the Area……………..…………………10%
Interested firms should submit their Expression-of-Interest (EOI) to the E-mail address noted below no later than August 11, 2026. An EOI consists of no more than three typed single sided pages providing sufficient information regarding the firm’s qualifications as they relate to the above selection criteria.
For the quality of staff, the proposed Project Team should include only full time employees currently employed as of the date of the EOI. For similar projects experience, include the date the project started and completed or identify that it is currently ongoing.
The ranking and selection will be based on a committee evaluation of the firms that submit the required EOI information as outlined in this solicitation. Designation of a firm does not guarantee contract award.
