Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that pursuant to Section §123-41 A (1) of the Esopus Town Code, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing, 1 Town Hall Way, Ulster Park, NY on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter for the purpose of considering the application of Ulster County Habitat for Humanity by Agent for an Area Variance pursuant to §123.23 of the Town Code requiring a 100’ minimum lot width requirement.

The subject property is located at 149 Doris Street, identified by tax map SBL No. 56.67-8-29 in the R-12 Zoning District in the Town of Esopus. The Applicant is seeking a 2.5’ width variance for each lot created by a proposed 2-Lot Subdivision (currently under review by the Esopus Planning Board).

The proposal is on file in the Planning-Zoning Board office for inspection by any interested party. You may email planning-zoning@esopus.gov to request documents to review or call (845) 339-1811 Ext. 126 to speak with the ZBA Secretary.

All parties of interest and citizens will be given an opportunity to be heard in respect to such application. Written comment may also be submitted by e-mail to planning-zoning@esopus.gov, provided verbally during the meeting or submitted in writing to the Esopus Zoning Board of Appeals, PO Box 700, Port Ewen, NY 12466.
